Enforcement of Duty of Care

We have the authority to check businesses to ensure they are complying with their Duty of Care obligations.

This means an officer can come to your premises and ask to see your Controlled Waste Transfer Note and check that your waste is being securely stored and correctly disposed of.

Natural Resources Wales (opens in a new tab) can also enforce waste legislation, including the Duty of Care requirements.
