Haverfordwest High VC School (Band B)

Haverfordwest High VC School was established from 1st September 2018 as an 11-19 English medium school following the closure of the former Tasker Milward VC and Sir Thomas Picton Schools.

Works began on constructing the new £48.7m school in November 2020, to provide accommodation for 1500 pupils aged 11-16 plus 250 sixth form pupils. The school consists of a two-storey building with a central atrium space which acts as the meeting, dining and social gathering area. New sports facilities include an eight-court sports hall, a floodlit 3G WRU standard rugby pitch and two multi-use games areas; all of which are available for community use outside school hours.

The school was officially opened by The Princess Royal on 14th October 2022.

The Haverfordwest High VC School building has since gone on to win three prestigious awards, including 'Project of the year' at the Education Building Wales Awards 2023.
