Building Control

Building Control

The Building Control section deals with applications submitted in relation to Building Regulations and with demolitions and dangerous structures.

Building Regulations are approved by Parliament and deal with the minimum standards of design and building work for the construction of domestic, commercial and industrial buildings. In addition, they set out the definitions of what is regarded as 'building work' and the procedures for ensuring that it meets the standards laid down.

Pembrokeshire County Council Building Control team are here to help you achieve compliance with the Building Regulations. We have a team of experienced building control officers based across Pembrokeshire that enables us to respond quickly to your needs, providing friendly face to face advice.

In this section you will find:

  • Further guidance on building regulations
  • Advice on whether you need to apply for building regulation approval
  • Information on how to make an application and downloadable application forms.
