School Meals

Overview

School meals are provided by our Catering Service and all our menus meet the National Assembly for Wales Nutritional Guidelines (opens in a new tab) and provide over a third of the body’s daily nutritional and energy requirements. 

The service works with suppliers to ensure that all ingredients meet the highest standard, with no harmful additives. Menu cycles change twice a year and all special dietary requirements, e.g. vegetarian, diabetic, milk or nut intolerance can be catered for upon written request from parents/guardians.

From September 2023, all full time primary pupils will receive a free school meal. 

Our Secondary Schools provide a cafeteria style service so pupils can choose the food they purchase.

Facilities are made available at all primary and secondary schools for children who wish to bring a packed lunch.
