UK Parliamentary General Election - 4th July 2024

A UK Parliamentary General Election has been called for Thursday 4th July 2024. The Acting Returning Officer for Mid and South Pembrokeshire will be William Bramble.

Mid and South Pembrokeshire is a new constituency following parliamentary boundary reviews with some north counties now included in the Ceredigion Preseli constituency.

Information on the new Ceredigion Preseli Constituency 

 

Key information for voting: 

 

Applies to all electors in Pembrokeshire County Council Area:

(Mid and South Pembrokeshire and the Preseli area of the Ceredigion Preseli constituency)

 

Voter ID

  • Electors have to show approved form of photo identification before voting in a polling station. Further information on Voter ID (opens in a new tab) is available.
  • If a voter does not have an accepted form of of photographic ID, they can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate (opens in a new tab) either online or by using a paper application.
  • Completed Voter Authority Certificate (VACs) applications must reach us before 5pm Wednesday 26th June.

  • Completed postal vote applications must reach us before 5pm Wednesday 19th June.
  • Applications to vote by post (opens in a new tab)
  • There will be limits to the number of postal votes that can be handed in - the maximum someone can hand in is 5 plus their own (total of 6).

 Proxy Voting

  • Completed proxy vote applications must reach us before 5pm Wednesday 26th June.
  • Applications to vote by proxy (opens in a new tab).
  • Electors will only be allowed to act as a proxy for up to 4 people, of whom no more than 2 can be 'domestic electors' (domestic electors are people who do not live overseas or are in the armed forces).
