County Council By-Election - Milford: Hakin Ward
A by-election will be held in Milford: Hakin following the death of County Councillor Mike Stoddart in January. If contested, a poll to fill the vacancy will be held on Tuesday 17th March 2026.
Anyone wishing to stand for election must submit their nomination papers to the Returning Officer between the 11th and 18th of February (working days), between the hours of 10am - 4pm.
The Statment of Persons Nominated will be published following the close of nominations.

Who can vote in this election
To vote in any elections in the UK, you must be registered to vote.
When registered, the following can vote in the Senedd Election on the 7 May 2026:
- Age 16 years old and above
- British, Irish or qualifying Commonwealth citizens
- EU citizens
- Qualifying foreign citizen (a qualifying foreign citizen is a citizen of another country who has permission to enter or stay in the UK, or who does not need such permission)

- The deadline for registering to vote is Monday, 20 April 2026
- The deadline to apply to vote by post is 5pm Tuesday, 21 April 2026
- The deadline to apply to vote by proxy is 5pm Tuesday 28 April 2026
