Deferred payments (E)

Interest charged is based on national Fiscal Forecast which sets out the market gilt rate. This rate could change every 6 months on 1st January and 1st June. The market gilt rate that we have used is 1.5%.

When a property is taken into account in a client’s financial assessment, they can defer/delay paying for some of their care costs. This means they do not need to sell their property right away. Administration costs include legal fees.
