Bathing Water in Pembrokeshire

Pembrokeshire has some of the best beaches in Britain with numerous awards such as Blue Flag, Green Coast and Seaside.

Bathing waters are monitored and assessed for compliance under the Bathing Water Directive (2006/EEC). Further information can be found on Natural Resources Wales: Bathing Water (opens in a new tab) 

The beaches in Wales are designated by the Welsh Government depending on their popularity and usage. Pembrokeshire beaches have exceptional good water quality, as is evident by the number of awards granted to the county's beaches. To maintain and improve the standards a collaborative approach with all the agencies involved in water quality working together. 

The Pembrokeshire Community Bathing Water Project runs between July and August collecting Bathing Water samples on a weekly basis in conjunction with local communities. We have sampled the following bathing waters which are non-designated. This will be updated throughout the Bathing Water Project and the results are only representative of the water quality at the time it was sampled.
