The Noise App

The Noise App is a quick and easy way to record noise which is causing an annoyance/nuisance. Historically, paper diary sheets would be sent to customers, by Housing or Public Protection Officers as part of a noise investigation. Once the diary sheets were completed and returned an appointment would be made for an Officer to attend the customer's house and install a noise meter.

Now, you can download The Noise App and start recording the noise that is causing the problem straight away. The recordings are uploaded directly onto a secure site that Council Officers access and they can make a quick judgement of the noise and what action is necessary. You can make as many recordings as you need and each recording lasts for up to 30 seconds.

Please note: you will need a ‘smart' device to use this app and broadband is recommended so it doesn't use your mobile data allowance.

How to Start Using the App

Before you download the App please call our Contact Centre on 01437 764551 and ask to speak to one of our Public Protection Officers. They will be able to take note of your details and assign an Investigating Officer.

Step 1

Download the app from The Noise App website (opens in a new tab) or search online for ‘The Noise App RHE' at Google Play or the Apple App Store.

Step 2

Create your account and choose ‘Pembrokeshire County Council' as your service provider to investigate your noise nuisance reports.

Step 3

To report a nuisance simply tap the icon, make a 30-second recording of the noise, complete a form and submit your report online.

Step 4

Await a response from us.

Please be aware that all recordings carry a GPS stamp so that Officers are aware of your location when you are making the recording, and all recordings carry a date and time stamp.

Can't use the app?

If you don't have a ‘smart' device you can still report noise issues online via ‘My Account' - Your Online Council Account.
