What should I do about

• Roots of perennial weeds (e.g. dandelion, dock, couch, creeping buttercup, ground elder, convolvulus) may regrow in your compost. They can be safely added to your bin if you kill them off first. Put them in a plastic bag , tie the top, leave to rot down until brown and sludgy or Keep them in a bucket of water with the lid and leave for a few days or leave them in the sun to dry out completely.
• Eggshells do not decompose completely but should be included to provide useful calcium. Try breaking them up first.
• Autumn leaves are slow to compost. Put them in a sealed a plastic bag for 2 years to make excellent leafmould for your garden.
