Why Compost

As a county we can no longer throw everything out as rubbish, we all have to Reduce, Re0use and Recycle. We are required to drastically reduce the amount of waste going to landfill in order to meet tough new targets. If we don't, then Pembrokeshire will face large financial penalties imposed by the Welsh Assembly Government running into millions of pounds a year - which we all end up paying for.

You don't have to have a big garden or be keen gardener to get making your own compost. With a compost bin, it's easy to turn uncooked kitchen scraps, garden waste and other "rubbish" into rich compost, an excellent plant food. ... and it's free!
