Parc Gwyn Fees and Charges

Payment of fees

Fees are payable by:

  • telephone (01834) 860622
  • post or in person at the Parc Gwyn Office, Narberth, Pembrokeshire SA67 8UD.

We accept payment by credit/debit card, cheque (payable to Pembrokeshire County Council) or cash.

Crematorium standard fee - attended service: £749.00

Service Monday - Friday 9:15am to 3:15pm for persons aged 18 years and over.
Each booking slot is 45 minutes, and includes a permitted service time of 30 minutes only, the remaining time is to enter and leave our Chapel and to prepare it for the following service.
N.B: Maximum coffin size (Including handles) up to 84” long X 41“ wide X 27” high

The fee includes:

  • Music via our digital music system (Wesley Media)
  • A selection of Welsh and English hymns played by our resident organist
  • Environmental surcharge; Medical referee fee
  • Ashes collection by funeral director / applicant / named representative
  • Biodegradable ashes casket; storage of ashes for one month; cremation certificate
  • Unwitnessed interment of ashes in our gardens of remembrance

Crematorium unattended (direct cremation i.e. no service takes place): £613.00

Monday – Friday a morning slot before 9:15am must be booked and delivery of coffin must take place before 9:00am on day booked, for persons aged 18 years and over delivery in advance is possible but will be subject to our cold store fee as shown in our additional fees.

The fee includes:-

  • Environmental surcharge; medical referee fee
  • Ashes collection by funeral director / applicant / named representative
  • Biodegradable ashes casket; storage of ashes for one month; cremation certificate
  • Unwitnessed interment of ashes in our gardens of remembrance

Baby (under 24 weeks gestation) & stillborn (24 weeks gestation and over): No charge

Additional fees

Surcharge for a 4:00pm weekday service time (18 years of age and over): £59.00 (plus standard fee)

Double service - additional 30 minute service time (to include all ages)

  • Monday – Friday from 10:00am to 3:15pm: £117.50 (plus standard fee)
  • Monday – Friday extra slot at 4:00pm: £177.00 (plus standard fee)

Surcharge for a Saturday service: 18 years of age and over

  • 10:45am – 1:00pm: £235.50 (plus standard fee)
  • Double Service, additional 30 minute service time, available for services 10:45 to 12:15pm: £353.00 (plus standard fee)

Use of coffin storage facility prior to the day of cremation - for up to 24 hours: £17.00

Temporary storage of remians per month - first month no charge: £7.50

Supply of urns and containers for storage of ashes

Polished grey granite kerbs are lined along the edges of our footpaths within the gardens of remembrance; each kerb accommodates a 4-line inscription; initially purchased with a 10-year lease, upon expiry either renew or collect your kerb.

Tree of Life

Gold coloured memorial leaf 4” x 1 ½”. Memorial leaves are placed on our hand-sculptured tree of life, which can be found wall mounted within our Chapel of Remembrance; each leaf accommodates a 5-line inscription; initially purchased with a 5-year lease, upon expiry either renew or collect your leaf.

Excavation of a grave

Monday to Friday (18 years of age and over)

  • Excavation of a grave (1st Interment to a depth of single, double or treble): £874.50
  • Excavation of a grave (subsequent interments): £849.00
  • Burial of cremated remains (Loose or casket burial): £184.50

Includes re-instatement, levelling and re-turf / seeding of grave within first year following all burials

Burial of a child: No charge

The excavation of an earthen grave to accept the full burial, or the cremated remains of a child under the age of 18 years is free of charge. If same grave is used at a later date for someone aged 18 years and over, fees for excavation and memorial permit shall then apply.

  • Transfer of grave ownership (EROB): £30.00
  • Re-instatement or removal of a damaged or dilapidated memorial: Price on application
  • Exhumation of cremated remains in a container: £184.50
  • Excavation to permit exhumation of a coffin or cremated remains container at full burial depth: £849.50
  • Extra Surcharge for burial to be held on a Saturday (coffin burials): £287.50
  • Extra Surcharge for burial to be held on a Saturday (cremated remains): £143.50

Memorial permits for all purchased (EROB) graves

The exclusive right of burial must be purchased before a memorial permit can be issued. Combinations of memorial installations incur permit fees for each part of the memorial, the fee applies to all those commemorated on the memorial 18 years and over. New & existing kerb memorials may be maintained, inscribed and replaced like for like within traditional sections of our cemeteries.

  • Installation of a memorial - Not exceeding 4ft in height x 3ft in width x 1ft 6" front to back **height on cremated remains plots to not exceed 2ft**: £230.00
  • Installation of plaque, tablet, footstone etc - Not exceeding 1ft in height x 2ft in width x 1ft 6" front to back. If being added to an existing memorial then the additional inscription fee shall apply: £230.00
  • Installation of full length kerbs or grave cover slab - Not exceeding 1ft in height x 3ft in width x 7ft front to back: £345.00
  • Installation of half length kerbs or grave cover slab - Not exceeding 1ft in height x 3ft in width x 7ft front to back: £230.00
  • Installation of kerbs or grave cover slab with integral head / foot piece - Kerbs not exceeding 1ft in height x 3ft in width x 7ft front to back with integral head/foot piece up to 3ft high replacing one kerb: £460.00
  • Additional inscription of an existing memorial: £58.00
  •  Replacement of an existing memorial on a ‘like for like’ basis: No charge for permit
  • Repair of damage to, or instability, to an existing memorial: No charge for permit
