Rural Development Plan

Pembrokeshire Advance

Pembrokeshire Advance was developed by Pembrokeshire County Council to take forwards the development of proposals for the Rural Development Plan (RDP). The Partnership was formed in consultation with relevant parties and locally based organisations including the WG. The Partnership adopted the name 'Pembrokeshire Advance' or 'Sir Benfro Ymlaen'.

The partnership has proved successful so far and in addition to overseeing the RDP it also takes an interest in broader rural issues affecting Pembrokeshire. The role of the board is to make decisions regarding the projects. Projects had to be endorsed by the board before being sent to the WG in bidding round.
