Enforcing health and safety law

On finding a breach of health and safety law, the inspector will decide what action to take. Our emphasis is on prevention but, where necessary, for example where conditions are poor or there is blatant disregard for the law, inspectors will use their powers to require improvements, including prosecution where appropriate.
