Covid-19 Information for Gypsy Traveller Communities

The Covid 19 crisis affects us all

In the Gypsy and Traveller community:

  • Many people have health problems
  • It’s hard to self isolate in trailers and mobile homes
  • Some families don’t have facilities and services

Here is some help and advice

  • Try to keep away from family not living on your slab.
  • If a Gypsy Traveller is passing through Pembrokeshire, they can stop in a safe place. Phone 01437 764551.
  • If a Gypsy Traveller is staying on a caravan site, which is closing, Welsh Government say they can stay put for now.
  • If you’ve had a shielding letter you may be able to have free food parcels, phone the community hub for help.
  • Free school meal grants have been sent to people who need them.
  • Schools have given children work to do at home, and will support you.
  • If you can’t pay your rent, please let us know.
