Think about the owner’s perspective and consider their needs and concerns. They will need to be reassured about the following:

• How their site will look and how their building or land will be cared for
• Any future development of the site will not be jeopardised
• Neighbours have been considered
• Potential issues have been thought through
• Rent will be paid on time
• Plans are realistic, with evidence of business plan and budgets
• How committed, professional, reliable and trustworthy you are
• You will comply with regulations and agreements
