Markets
We operate 3 markets within the County offering a wide range of goods and produce, both modern and traditional.
Tenby Market
Tenby has the oldest market in use in Pembrokeshire tracing its existence back as far as 1290 when the first Charter was granted.
It is still on the original site within a charming grade two listed building which retains many if its original features and includes a large mural showing history of Tenby.
The market is open 7 days a week in July/August and 6 days a week from September - June 8.30am - 5.00pm.
Fishguard Market
Fishguard market is a chartered market with the charter being presented to the market house in 1836.
The building was completely restored in 2005 and benefits from under floor heating in the market hall.
There is a thriving one day market (Thursday) which is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
It is situated in the same building as the TIC, Library and the Fishguard Tapestry ensuring a good flow of potential customers.
Pembroke Dock Market
Pembroke Dock market is young in comparison to Tenby but it can still date itself as far back as 1826.
In fact, the building was actually used by Wild Bill Hickock to stable all of the horses and equipment when he brought his show to Britain at the start of the 20th century.
There is a weekly market every Friday providing local people with products such as fish, meat, fruit and veg and other items they require.
Although the market is only open on Fridays, many of the townspeople still use it as a meeting place. (opening hours are 8:00am to 2:00pm).
