What is sheltered housing?

Sheltered housing is warden supported accommodation which enables people to live independently with the added support of a warden.  

What does it provide?

Convenient and comfortable accommodation with added security, in an environment where tenants have their own front door and can come and go as they please. There are different types of accommodation ranging from bedsits to individual flats and bungalows.  These can be linked to an alarm system (Careline) to call for emergency assistance. 


Who is sheltered housing for?

  • Anyone aged over 55 who would benefit from the services of a warden

How do I apply for sheltered housing?

To apply for sheltered housing you will need to complete a Housing application form
