Backdated claims

If you think you have 'good cause' for a late claim please make sure that you fill in an application form for the period in question.

Please note that the maximum a claim can be backdated is one month for working age customers.

If you have savings of £16,000 or more, you will not be entitled to Housing Benefit unless you receive Pension Credit Guarantee (opens in a new tab)
