Notice of Variation of Parking Place Charges April 2026

(Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation Order) 2011

(Variation Order No. 17 2026)

 

Statement of Reasons 

It is proposed to vary the existing Car Park Order, namely the Pembrokeshire County Council (Off Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2011 by way of the following:-

 

  1. To introduce a new car park in Column 2 of the Schedule at car parking place number 11C
  2. To introduce a new car park in Column 2 of the Schedule at car parking place number 11D
  3. Revocation of The Pembrokeshire County Council (Off-Street Parking Places)(Consolidation) Order 2011 insofar as it relates to item number 26A, Hole in Wall car park, Haverfordwest, which will have the effect of closing and removing the car park from the list of car parks.
  4. To amend the Max Period for which a vehicle may wait in column 6 of the schedule at parking place 24.
  5. To introduce a 4 hour tariff in column 8 at car parking place number 24
  6. To amend the charging period at parking place 27 to 24 hour charging.
  7. Revocation of the 30 minute ‘Pop and shop’ bays in column 7 of the schedule at car parking place 27
  8. To amend current 1 hour tariff to £0.00 in column 8 at parking place 27
  9. To amend current 24 hour tariff to £4.50 in column 8 at parking place 27
  10. To introduce a 10 hour tariff in column 8 at parking place 27
  11. To introduce a ‘Motorcycle’ tariff in Column 8 of the Schedule for vehicle classes 1 and 4 in column 4 at car park place number 27
  12. To amend the parking charges in column 8 of the schedule at parking place 27 to allow all tariffs to be available on all floors.
  13. To introduce class 9 as a new class of vehicle in column 4 of the schedule at parking place 2

 

The Variations will have the effect of allowing Pembrokeshire County Council to better manage its car parks effectively and in line with our Traffic Management duty.

NOTICE is hereby given that Pembrokeshire County Council proposes to make an Order under Sections 32 and 35 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (“the 1984 Act”) as amended and the provisions of the Traffic Management Act 2004 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the Order will be to vary the Schedule to the Pembrokeshire County Council (Off-Street Parking Places) (Consolidation) Order 2011, with respect to the Parking Places listed in the table below, to make provision as follows:-

 

  1. To introduce a new car park in Column 2 of the Schedule at car parking place number 11C
  2. To introduce a new car park in Column 2 of the Schedule at car parking place number 11D
