Tenby Harbour

Tenby Harbour sits in a central position in the beautiful Georgian town of Tenby, often known as "The Jewel in Pembrokeshire's crown". 

This picturesque town, it has grown to become Pembrokeshire's most popular tourist destination. Dinbych-y-pysgod is the Welsh name for Tenby which translates as "Little fort of the fish" and its main attraction is definitely the magnetism of the beaches that surround this little town.

Visitors Moorings

Inner harbour moorings: 

Visitor moorings are available throughout the summer season and are on a 1st come 1st served basis. Bookings are taken from the 1st April. 

One mooring is available up to a maximum size of 21 feet in length. Moorings are booked in periods of one week running from Saturday to Saturday up to a maximum of four weeks per season to be taken no more than two weeks in any one month.  A copy of a certificates of 3rd party liability insurance of £3 million must be provided to the harbour staff prior to launching of any vessel. 

Yachts currently use the main quay wall where larger vessels can be accommodated. We have fendered ladders, electricity hook ups and fresh water available, plus the use of showers, toilets, kitchen area, lounge and washing and drying facilities.  

Tenby Harbour is home to Tenby Sailing Club and also to a thriving Sea Cadet Section 

Events - Many local organisations such as the Round Table, Rotary, Lions and RNLI take advantage of Tenby Harbour's setting as a natural amphitheatre to hold annual events.

Directions from the Midlands and the North of England

• This is for Tenby Take the M5 south to Junction 8, immediately past Strensham Services onto the M50
• Travel the length of the M50, to Junction 4 near to Ross-on-Wye and take the A40 towards Monmouth.
• 7 miles past Monmouth, take the turning to Raglan and Abergavenny (NB - this is still the A40)
• Carry on to the A465, signposted Merthyr Tydfil, Neath and Swansea.
• The A465 will join the M4 at Junction 43, where you can follow the remaining directions below.

 

Directions for London, Cardiff and Swansea

• This is for Tenby;  Take the M4 West to Junction 49, and then the A48 towards Carmarthen.
• On arriving in Carmarthen, turn left at the second roundabout onto the A40, signposted St Clears.
• From St Clears, take the A477 for approximately 11 miles and then the A478 towards Tenby.
• The A478 will take your through, Pentlepoir, Wooden, New Hedges and then down the hill into Tenby.
• Once you pass the 'Welcome' to Tenby sign take 1st left signposted North beach continue on Narberth rd for approx 3/4 of a mile you will come into Tudor Sq drive down through the square and you will come to the harbour after approx 400 yards.  Note that the town centre is pedestrianised in the summer and details on times when the walled town is closed to vehicles can be found on Tenby Pedestrianisation
• There is no public parking within the harbour so you are advised to use the multi-storey car park.
