Can I use posters, signs or flags to way mark my event?

It is important that all routes required during the event are signposted however putting signage out to early may mean that they are tampered with or get displaced, so  it is best to leave putting up signage until just a day or hours before the event – this also will allow for last minute checks of  the route.

When using signage you must ensure that:

• Appropriate permissions have been obtained from landowner
• The signs are erected and dismantled in a timely fashion
• Signs or flags are not made of any sharp or pointed materials that may harm livestock, people or wildlife
• Any signs comply with road closure orders.
