Community Energy Funds
Community Energy Co-operatives that reinvest profits from their wind and solar projects into other community energy initiatives. These can be explored as potential support for community energy projects:

- Egni co-op provide rooftop solar PVs, helping sites save costs and reduce carbon emissions. They are currently prioritising larger roofs and sites using more than 100,000 kWh/year. All profits Egni generates fund further projects and environmental educational programmes.
- Cwm Arian Renewable Energy (CARE) | Community Benefit Society (opens in a new tab)

- CARE (sometimes shortened to ‘Cwm Arian’) focuses on land-based skills for landowners or workers, community strengthening initiatives, energy-saving, and education. Primarily funded through grant funding, CARE is working towards a financially sustainable social enterprise model.

- Community Energy in Pembrokeshire (CEP) is a Community Interest Company which delivers renewable energy projects identified by a renewable energy opportunity study for South East Pembrokeshire. Surpluses are re-invested into initiatives and activities contributing to climate change mitigation or adaptation.
