Help with school meals and costs

Paying for school meals

Primary schools

All full-time primary school pupils get universal primary free school meals.
You do not need to pay.

Part‑time pupils pay £2.55 per meal.
If you’d like your child to have school meals, email cashless.catering@pembrokeshire.gov.uk to request a cashless catering account.

Secondary schools

Secondary schools use a cashless catering system.
Pupils pay using:

  • A cashless catering card
  • Or finger recognition (biometric system)

What is biometric?

Biometric means using a fingerprint instead of a card or PIN. It’s secure, quick, and helps reduce queues.

Note. biometric is not available in all secondary schools
