  • Impacts of Heavy Rainfall Period

    04/11/2025

We are experiencing widespread surface water flooding across Pembrokeshire due to protracted, and at times intense, rainfall compounded by fallen leaves, field run off and ground saturation. Hazardous driving conditions is being experienced on the network throughout the county.

Further rain for most of the country over the next 24 hours. The focus of the heaviest rain will be across the south and south-west, stretching from Pembrokeshire to Monmouthshire with the rain becoming heavy and persistent since this afternoon and overnight into Wednesday. River catchments may start to respond to rainfall.

The rain finally begins to ease Wednesday morning. High astronomical tides on Wednesday and Thursday may lead to some minor coastal flooding.

Flooding Impacts – list is not exhaustive:

    • B4318 at Gumfreston is closed due to flooding with cars trapped in flood water ignoring road signs – FRS in attendance.
    • Significant flooding on bridge and surrounding area of Llanfyrnach
