Our Service

Springboard

Springboard is a Learning Pembrokeshire project which runs a wide range of fun, free and exciting courses for adults and families to develop maths and numeracy skills in 12 partner primary schools in Pembrokeshire.

Why join Springboard?

Through joining one of our courses you and your family can have fun, learn new skills, meet new people, and progress.

What kinds of courses can you do?

Springboard courses are designed for adults and families to have fun while learning and developing new and essential skills that complement the 4 core purposes of the new Curriculum for Wales.

Although the project’s programme offer is diverse and links to all areas of learning and experience, essential skills  are creatively embedded in all our activities in a practical and meaningful way.

Where can I view the current timetables?

Each partner school shares information on what workshops are running in their schools through their own apps such as Class Dojo, See Saw and Parent Mail. But if you want to see the Springboard timetables for all areas at a glance, please visit the Springboard Padlet (opens in a new tab)

Who can take part?

Springboard courses are open to adults who have a child in their family attending one of our 12 partner schools schools and who feel that they will benefit from engaging in our courses.

When do Springboard activities run?

Springboard runs a different programme of activities either side of every half term. Our morning and afternoon sessions are perfectly timed to fit into the school day, term time only.

Where do our activities take place?

Springboard courses usually take place in the community rooms of each partner Primary school, but can also take place outdoors, utilising school roundhouses.

How can you get involved?

It's easy to get involved. You can click on the booking link that schools share along with our flyers in their School Apps like Class Dojo. Alternatively you can just text, call or e-mail the Springboard Advisor responsible for Springboard delivery in your partner school. Their contact details are on the Springboard Padlet (opens in a new tab).

How are our courses funded?

Currently, schools support the work of Springboard in their respective schools and the project is seeking match funding from grant awarding bodies linked to different areas of learning.
