A guide to your ceremony portal
Whether it is a simple ceremony in our Register Office or a fully bespoke ceremony at any location in Pembrokeshire, we will work with you to create a truly personal experience.
With our online ceremony portal you can tailor the content of your ceremony from start to finish, while ensuring that you include everything that is legally required. Everything can be configured in your own time on your phone, tablet or laptop.
If you are having one of our enhanced or bespoke ceremonies your ceremony registrar will contact you to book a convenient time to talk through your choices and add any additional personal touches you would like. For smaller ceremonies, please contact us if you would like to clarify anything or discuss your requirements.

Ceremony checklist
This is the list of tasks that will need to be completed before your ceremony. As you complete each task it will go green
My details
This checklist task will have been completed when you made your booking, but you can use this option in the portal to amend your contact details
Book a notice appointment
You can only use this option if you live in Pembrokeshire. If you live elsewhere you will need to contact your local register office.
Ceremony choices
These are the words you will speak during your ceremony. Once you have uploaded your choices you can preview your choices through the ‘view ceremony choices’ option and print using ‘print order of ceremony’.
Payment tracker
Shows you what payments have made and if you have anything left to pay. Please note your final balance payment will not be added until six months before your ceremony.
Additional ceremony planning information
This option will not appear for all ceremony types but is where we will capture any information we need to ensure your ceremony runs smoothly.
Your ceremony
Shows your ceremony booking details and a countdown to your ceremony date. You can view the full details of your ceremony booking by choosing the green button.
My ceremony
Displays your booking information. At the top you will see your booking ID (which you should use in any correspondence) and if you scroll to the right you will see the status of your booking e.g
- Provisional – your booking information is with us and waiting to be checked.
- Provisional booking confirmed –We have checked your booking and have confirmed the date and time in our diary.
- Confirmed –Once you have paid in full and completed any legal requirements your booking will be fully confirmed.
Making your ceremony choices
This is where you choose what you want to say and do during the ceremony. Aside from any legal vows you must select one of the options given. You are free to leave a particular choice out of your ceremony, select from one of the options provided or to write your own words.
To make your choice:
- click ‘edit choice’, (this brings up the options available)
- select your preferred option from the drop-down list
- make your initial selection
- If you want to write your own words select that option from the list and then either write your vows in the ‘additional ceremony planning information’ section or email your vows to ceremonies@pembrokeshire.gov.uk.
- If you change your mind and want to select a different choice, choose ‘Change your ceremony choice’, choose the red circle to delete your original choice and then make your new selection.
Additional ceremony planning information
We can capture all the other personal touches you want to include in your ceremony as well as the additional information needed to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
You can work through these questions in advance of your ceremony planning meeting (where applicable) or wait to talk everything through with your ceremony registrar.
