How to pay the council

The easiest way to pay us is online.
You can also pay by phone, post or in person.

1. Pay online (quickest and easiest)

You can pay online using My Account.

You can use:

  • a debit or credit card
  • a saved card in your My Account Wallet
  • PayPal

2. Pay by phone (24 hours)

You can make payments at any time using our automated payment line.

This service is:

  • open 24 hours
  • fully bilingual
  • guided step‑by‑step

 

Have your payment reference number ready. You can find this on your invoice.

 

 

3. Pay by Direct Debit

Direct Debit is simple and safe. Payments are taken automatically.

 

Council Tax

You can set up a Direct Debit online.

 

Other council bills

You can set this up over the phone.
Call 01437 764551.

The person paying the bill must call and have their bank account details ready.

 

 

4. Standing Order or online banking

If you want to pay by Standing Order or online banking, use these details:

  • Bank: Barclays Bank, 32 High Street, Haverfordwest, SA61 2DA
  • Sort code: 20‑37‑90
  • Account name: Pembrokeshire County Council
  • Account number: 53671917

You must include the correct payment reference.

 

 

5. Pay through the Contact Centre

If you cannot pay online or through the automated line, you can call our Contact Centre.

  • Call 01437 764551
  • Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

Secure way to pay by phone

For your safety, we will not ask you to read your card details aloud.
Instead, you will type your card numbers on your phone keypad.

 

 

6. Pay in person

If you cannot pay online or by phone, you can pay in person at:

  • Main Reception, County Hall, Haverfordwest
  • Open Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm

7. Pay by post

You can send a cheque made payable to Pembrokeshire County Council.

Write your payment reference number on the back of the cheque.
Not including the reference may delay your payment.

 

Do not send cash through the post.
